well after being at carls place sunday, i need to replace my cable. got a price from AWR thru brooks. $80 for 5/16 X 125ft. anyone have any better deals? or ideas?

well it was gettin close to needin replaced anyway, its just a whole lot closer now. it got doubled over when we were trying to get blue and kept rubbing against the ...bars that hold it together. musta been tight enough that it ground off a layer of the wire.

yeah i looked at those ropes in the mags. im thinkin im gonna have to go with the cable just because of cost right now

I highly suggest you avoid the 5/16" synthetic line. I've seen them break a few times when the winch was not THAT bogged down. Thoroughly unimpressed. The 3/8" on my dad's has held up really well.

i was kinda thinkin that when i DID ever get a synthetic one i would go 3/8. 5/16 just seems kind small rope to be pullin heavy things with, no matter what they say it will do.

finally got 1. 5/16 X100. from american wire rope.$80. not exactly what i wanted but its a good get me by and CHEAPER then the rope...
