im not to familiar with putting one into a manche but its definatley going to be way easier for you since you have no control arms to deal with.

jeeps unlimted has some great right ups for the tj. and they aslo have cherokee right ups too. as for a locker dont use a lunch box due to a weak carrier. and you cant spool it. not really sure why nick told me though. maybe it was because its a c-clip? the only right up i saw for a spool in a quick glance was you need a c-clip eliminator. you plannon on s.o.a or s.you.a? if you keep it s.you.a im pretty sure i saw that you can buy brackets from a ford dealership for cheap and they are already very heavy metal. for gears i've been finding 4.88s brand new for about 160

oh and me personally im going to get an auburn electric locker. there under 700 yes they are pricey but i want to be able to lock and unlock mine without dealing with any air lines or compressor. replacing a wire on the trail seems easier than replacing an air line

Going with s.o.a since thats where my lift is coming from. Found a spool avaibable but it does require the c-clip eliminator. but would still be cheaper than buying a full case locker from what ive seen. I found the eliminator from Moser is $150, and a spool for $183. Cheapest Detroit I have found is $600. Where did you find the 4.88's for $160? Where did you guys get your driveshaft flange adapter from? I have just started searching for things but thought i would see what you guys have found already.

Being that yours is drivin on the road I don't blame you wanting to spend the extra change for a selectable locker. Mine does not and probably will never see much road time. But I think if I was going to spend that kind of money I would probably look into a OX. No air lines or wires to deal with. Just a cable that once adjusted properly is pretty much good to go.

the flange im still looking into. im still undecided on what i want to do. 8.8 comes with 1330 jeep comes with 1310. so what do i do? i can just get a 1330 flange with a 1330-1310 combo ujoint. or i can buy a 1310 flange to bolt right in. or i can buy a 1330 flange and get my drive shaft rebuilt for it. so many options lol. in the end i believe im just gonna get a 1310 flange cuz i dont see the benefit of having one 1330 ujoint and one 1310. and nick isnt happy with is combo ujoint. but you can buy these from m.o.r.e, mad4wd, and possibly napa

The problem I see using a combo ujoint is if you break one not every auto store is going to carry combo ujoints. So i will probably just buy a 1310 flange.

just found these one for just under $30. Not sure which one though. I would assume it is the larger one but would want to measure first.

those dont seem to be adapter flanges. you need one designed for the 1330 but fit the 1310 ujoint

I will take a pic when i get home. But it seems to me that it would bolt to what is currently there. I could be wrong though. Do you have a link or picture of what think is needed?

oh and my terminology sucks what i've been calling a flange is really an axle yoke. if you want to keep the 1310 you need to find a "yoke" that converts it to 1310 sorry for the confusion

Im comparing the 2 of them and I dont see anything different?

this is what i was looking at for $28.95... http://mad4wd.com/index.php?main_page=p ... cts_id=340

The only difference I see is that the one from mad4wd comes with the flange bolts and the other one dont which is an additional $10

the c-clip eliminator kits for 8.8's like to leak from what I've heard. I'd just do an open carrier and weld it up personally. you can reuse the stock leaf spring perches, they are made of some thick shit. not sure but I have a flange adapter from a mustang that I believe uses a 1310 u-joint. That's what will be going back in mine. I would highly recommend doing this over using the 1310/1330 combo joint...as I've already destroyed one.
