Well i took everything out of my comanche and pulled the old dirty carpet. found that the drivers side floor pan was shot. was wondering were the best place to get a floor pan for it and if they come with the reinforcment piece that is on it. I was also going to leave the carpet out and bedline the floor. any reason not to do this? will i need to put heat shields on the exhaust?

Search ebay. I found a full set of floor pans for the baby jeep for a great price. You may have to do something to keep shoes from melting on the pass side floor, but a piece of carpet under the floor mat usually does the trick. I wouldn't put carpet back in it, that's part of the reason that they floors rust out.

Nobody makes floor pans for the MJ. They are different from the XJ. I have been told that XJ pans can be made to work with minimal effort but haven't done that myself. I just go get some sheet and start pounding and bending....

thanks ill do some checkin around. i also noticed under the carpet on passenger side was some sort of heat bearerer. i may just hold on to that and put it under the floor mat so were not melting any shoes. :elephant:

A sheet metal heat shield under the floor may be better. The fiber heat shield will trap moisture and you'll be back to rusty floors before you know it. :?
