i had someone install new gears and a locker in my 9" when i built it and have recently started getting a howl from it when driving it and decelerating/ removing load. wondering if someone is experienced in setting them up that could take a look at it if i yank it out. it has an auburn locker with 4.88 gears

Just curios to see if you've changed you fluid latley? I have seen that actually cause it.

If it's not a bearing issue it's a backlash, or pinion depth issue. I would just be prepared to replace the gears and a master install kit.

It may be an easy fix but the gears/bearings may have already been damaged.

Tuff at Get bent Kustoms does rear end setup.... Pm him or call him.
