They are the brackets that hold the winch mount on. One of bolts did this,

I've got it almost drilled out but I was thinking to make it a little stronger to throw some weld between the frame and bracket. My front bumper is welded and bolted to the Jeep as well and it has worked out great...Anyway I was thinking about bolting and welding this to the Jeep also..Bad idea?

well I guess its my way of 1. not having to mess with that bolt and then fix the threads and 2. maybe make it a little stronger in the end anyway.

Is that your winch plate bracket?

I wouldn't weld it on. I would bolt it down. If you need help getting the bolt out come over and I'll help you get it out.

That is very thick steel you want to bolt it. If you want to tack it after its bolted thats fine, but I wouldn't primarily weld it.

I'd try to bolt it for sure. Use some antisieze. I probably have 3 lbs of antisieze on my jeep. LOL
