Go to napa and buy the rubber housing lights the buy a 55W bulb for them. Cheap and effective.
Edit: I found a link to a write up.

i plan on buying mine off of ebay, you can get them pretty cheap if you buy them in bulk. You can get 8 100 watt 6" lights for like $100. And there are also all deals other than that. shipping is like another 20 or 30 dollars but i think its still a good deal.

let's talk electricity for a second.
All the links provided are for 55 watt lights. Watts\volts= amps, so, the 55 watt bulbs consume about 4.5 amps each. The XJ posted above has 7 lights, so that would be 31 amps. Now, you will probably have your headlights and radio on, so there's all the extra marker lights, dash lights, brake lights, and whatever add-ons you have on the radio, etc....
Now just because an alternator is a 90 amp unit, doesn't mean it puts out 90 amps all the time. It depends on electrical load and engine speed. Consider this chart.
http://www.binderbulletin.org/forums/faq.php?faq=ihcfaq_5.0#faq_ihcfaq_alternator_output
Alternators "ramp up" their output as RPMs increase, so at low trail speeds you might only be getting one third or so of the rated output. Any more than that and you draw off the battery.
I didn't realize I had a 37 amp alternator until one cold rainy night, I had everything thing on and the electric fan just put it over the top.
