Hi all. I am planning a Ford 8.8 rear axle assembly install in place of the Dana 35. The Ford has a 4.10 in it which is what I want. Will a Dana 30 with the 4.11 work? Some have told me they are the same, others have told me they are different, but not by enough to matter. Anyone know for sure? Thanks!

They are different, yet the same. The difference is so miniscule it doesn't make any difference. I have heard before that varying tire pressures/wear levels are the same or more. That and off pavement it won't make any difference anyhow.

Shoot, older Broncos came from the factory with 4.09 in the front and 4.10 in the rear, you will be fine.

Thanks everyone for the vote of reassurance. My mechanic said as much, but I wanted a 2nd opinion of sorts.
