Oh that looks like so much fun! The wife (@ the time only a girlfriend), her brother, her mom and I went down the New River about 10-11 years ago. We went through Ace. We had a blast. They say that the New River, and the Upper and lower New Gulley are some of the best white water in the world. I wanna do the gulley when they open up the gates. I guess they do that in late September or in October. We have been talking about going again. Except I wanna do the 4 man boat next time!!!

we were talking about doing the gulley next. this was my second time down the new river. upper gully is ranked 2 in the usa and 5th in the world. lower gully is not as extreme and new river is just below that. the guide said the worst rapid on the new is the easiest on the upper gully. we both had a blast!

Nice! I've always wanted to do that! Maybe when the family gets older we can start to do some of those things.

Who did you go through? I used to get fliers from Ace, but I think it has been a few years since I got any.

Class VI, part of Adventures on the gorge

888-650-1931
onthegorge.com

if you get 7 people to go you get the 8th person for free. we split the difference and it ended up being $110 /person
they have pakage deals where you can raft one day and rock climb, atv rides, paintball, the other day.
about 10 years when i went we rafted first day and rapelled down a clift from one side of the bridge to the bottom and rock climbed on the second day.
