I am going to stick updates in this thread from now on.

Instead of re-attaching all those pictures, here are links to my prior threads:

I took these pictures when I test mounted for fitment. My door posts aren't as long as the OEM ones. I will be adding a hole to compensate.

Changed my mirrors in order to allow the addition of the Tuffy door lockers above:

This is what I have had for many years.

This is what I am switching to. Driver's side was a test. I think it is going to work out nicely, so I am ordering the passenger side next.
The mount plate does not interfere with my Warrior Safari Rack mount plate. They work nicely together.

I have had these doors for a few years now. I had previously only used the 'saddle bags' when the doors have been in bar form, without the big black plate for use during winter or bad weather. I finally got around to putting the 'saddle bags' on with the plate, so that there will be plenty of cab storage, which is desperately lacking in a TJ.

It warmed up a bit, and I took the chance and went to the barn to work a little.
Since my last update on the TJ, my father has invested in a kerosene heater. The jet engine style that melts the skin off your legs if you walk in front of it, and can heat a modest sized pole building from 31 to 55 in a matter of minutes. Needless to say, my hiatus from working on the jeep is over.

Well, I'm toying around with the idea to get another vehicle. Something that gets decent mileage, does good on long road trips, and maybe can be lowered.

I'm back and forth fairly often between an explorer, expedition, f150, and a ZJ or WJ. I like the idea of a 2wd expedition or f150 crew cab to lower and make into a highway road trip machine, but the rims wont fit that. They'll fit an explorer or ZJ. Not the rest.

So who knows. But I would love to have something they fit on again.

Mine.
Those are the same rims that Kennedy was asking about in the background of the rear seat cover picture.

I would love to find a ZJ in decent shape. WJ's have a much bigger hub assembly, and the rims wont fit. I tried to put them on the WJ we traded in that ZJ for. But it didn't work out.

Only picture I could find of the WJ:

ugh stop this! I have been wanting a Grand cherokee lately (not to get rid of my TJ for) just something classy to pimp around town in. I wouldn't minding picking up a cheap ZJ limited model. Your making me want one even more now! :)

That's still pretty low, the lowest mileage vehicle I have owned would be my kj, bought it with 98k in 2010 I think and it's currently at 125k.

Bought my tj with 124k and its at 132k.. I think. Owned it for 2 years..

We got the Vamper at 45-ish two years ago.

It's been to Walt Disney World, Destin, Upstate New York, Colorado, Destin, and shorter journeys to Cleveland, Columbus, Danville IL, Detroit, Toledo, Indy twice or so..

That 60000.0 was the van a couple months ago.

You know, if you and Kari both get some time off, you are all more than welcome to come by some weekend to hang out. We have an extra room, etc. :)
