I have an '05 LJ Rubicon. When I used to fill it up with gas the pump would stop pumping at the appropriate time. Now, just recently the pump no longer stops pumping until gasoline is spilling out of my tank. What is the deal? I highly doubt every pump I go to is messed up. Is there a sensor in there that has malfunctioned? Thanks Mike

Pretty typical for the Jeeps really. Function of the design angle on the fill tube and the vent. Sometimes mine does it, sometimes not. It's all about pressure. I just always stand there now and listen for it to get full.

I have set it on the fastest and I have done it really slow. It seems like I can't get it to stop in time.

Sounds like your tank pressure is bleeding off. Maybe the ventline is loose either at the tank end, or canister end. Or the filler hose/return vent is loose somewhere between the tank and the filler.
