My 95 grand cherokee laredo shakes and stalls when I am stopped in traffic. The vehicle shakes and labors unless I put it into neutral or park. I was tols to change the fuel filter and that changed nothing. I was told to change the idle control switch on the throttle body... again no change. I was also told to try seafoam...that didnt fix it either. I hope someone here can help me.

Could be the torque converter.
Take it by a tranny shop that does free estimates and see what they say.

... or, it sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Check all the hoses, fittings and connections. Anything that looks suspicious, a quick spray of starting fluid on that spot should temporarily smooth out the idle. (you may have to bump up the idle speed, or have someone hold the pedal down for you). :?
