Has any ever owned or worked with the ford 6.8 L V10?
I'm looking at a truck that has one and I haven't drove one i don't think.
Are they a good motor? Is there any problems known with these.
And please I don't want personal opinions saying they suck or Chevy or dodge is better. I'm just looking for some info.
Thanks

umm ok wasn't really looking for that. More like how they run and stuff like that.
Plus I've been researching and it does a lil better than 8 mpg. About average is 11-13 city and 14-19 highway. I think it's the lowest on both. But still better than 8.

1. GAS HOG.

2. Soft cams, known for going flat WAY quick.

Stick with the 300 I6 or the Powerstrokes, IMO.

i don't know about the 6.8-but my dad has a 2002? F250, 2-wheel drive, AT with the V10 in it, and it gets about 12 mpg with the lug tires on the back for traction. When I drove it in high school with road tires on and no weight, it was hard to not spin or squeal or anything. Even with lugs-and 3 toolboxes, it'll still spin pretty easily on the slightest wet surfaces or sand or anything of that nature. I think it's nice-no problems so far that i know of- oh and it seems to pull quite well, as well.
