Who rides the most miles? Post up a pic of your odometer with a cell phone or pda or something in the picture. Something that has a date that can't be changed by the user.

Right meow I have 8810 miles starting, but I need to charge my cell for verification.

BTW, I already have over 200 miles so far this year.

:edit: my '73 cb750 started the year with 21700 miles.

I won't be in this for awhile, due to my shoulder, I'm stuck on 4 wheels for awhile.

I probably won't be in contention but will post up my mileage and play along. I have only put on about 100mi this year to date.

I'm curious to do this, just to keep better track of how many I miles I ride this summer.
Last summer, due to technical difficulties, my bike wasn't together until the first of June, and I still managed to ride almost 9k, and I never managed to leave the state...

I need a new bike! then I'd win. I bought my Buell in feb. 06' and as long as there was no snow on the ground, I rode every day that first season I had it. I'll still ride if it's over 45, but no more of that 28 degree stuff! I thought this was a MPG thread, And I thought it would be funny, because Chaz's 21 mpg civic would probably beat me!(Ok, that's not true, but since I started reprogramming my ECM with ECM spy on my laptop, I've gotten 17 more Hp, and 26 more lb ft of torque!) I was getting about 45 mpg before, and meow I'm getting about 37

I need to remember to get my picture of my odometer, I've already ran atleast one tank of gas out of it... I'm guessing I've done 200 so far... 60 of it was on Jan. 1, it was 26 degrees.

I don't put my bike away.

I've ridden every month, including January and February.

I'm just shy of 11k miles on my '08, an easy 1k this year so far.

As long as it's not iced over, I ride.

I may stop riding in sub 20's. I'm getting a little soft.

(and really tired of the rain)

If you want to talk mpg then my cbr is about 40, my 650 is about 30, and I don't know what my 750 gets.

Trip A is miles this tank

Trip B is total miles since I bought it this year.

How big is that tank? 5 gal? mines 3.75, and I get about 100 before the fuel light comes on with about 1 gal left.(all depending on how and where I'm riding) 75 miles when I'm feelin frisky, 125 when cruising on highway!

It's a 600, and the tank is about 4 gallons. I'm not easy on the gas by any means.

My Man! I guess I'm not alone in the stupid launch category! We'll have to hook up this summer, and go for a scoot! I mostly ride with guys on Harleys, and almost falling over trying to turn as slow as them gets old!

So, was it wrong for me to pass a squid on a GS 500 on the inside of an on ramp today?

Damn, if your gonna ride a sport bike, learn to lean the thing. Shouldn't have some old fart on a dirt bike be able to do that.

I learned to ride street bikes in california. I am all about lane splitting! "Lead, follow, or get the fork outa my way!"
"Real bikers do it between cars!"

Keep in mind, this is MY opinion.... Yes it was wrong. The individual on the GS500 might have been new in this great sport. They might have been a bit "scared" you just never know. There are many different experience levels.

Please be safe.

Oh, i am on my third set of foot platforms on my bagger. I have to get to the fort and ride with ya.

Actually, he had passed me just before exiting. He was hard into the turn in front of me at a higher speed.

Decreasing radius curve, when it tightened up, he stood up and braked hard. Just like he was taught no doubt at MSF. No traffic, so the merge was quite clear.

I increased the lean, speed and used the shoulder. 930 cloverleaf, you could pass two semis in those turns. A KLR will never have the brakes of a dual rotor sport bike.

I love to watch baggers throw sparks. I had my rear end handed to me in the badlands by a bandana pirate on a road king in the twisties. He must replace those floorboards after every ride.

I hate dragging my pegs. They sit way to high to begin with and it's only about another inch to dragging my side cases. Usually, my knobbies start to give way first. Too much rider, not enough rubber.

Come take by Buell for a spin! My tires have no chicken strip, and I'm still like 2 inches from dragging a peg. My bike has a 50 degree hard contact safe lean angle, and that thing blows my mind. Oh, and I only have a single rotor sport bike, but its 16 inches in diameter, and has a 6 piston caliper! :eek2:

Its not that uncommon for me to drag my pipes on hard fast right turns, just ask John... I think he thought I laid it down over in West Lafeyette... I've felt my heals touch a few times with my feet on the forward controls.

When I took the MSF class, on every turn or everytime I leaned the bike it seemed like I was dragging pegs of the sides of my boots on that little Suzuki 250...

My mom used to teach that class and do the skills tests up untill abate took them over. When I took the class, They had 2 little 250 enduro style bikes. That's what I rode, at 6'2", those little rebels, or whatever they were back then, felt like a mini bike!

It's amazing how agile a bagger can be in the right hands! Have you ever seen the C.H.P.'s skills course, It's amazing how those instructors can throw those big bikes through stuff that would make most of us shit our pants!
