What fan setup does it have? Mecanical? What about an electric fan? Wonder if a v8 zj fan would fit?

what is different in the setup of the truck from when it was stock?

mj's and xj's require every piece of the cooling system to be operating at top performance to stay cool. loose one of the components and you're running hot...

Sounds like you may also want to put lift blocks between the hood and the hinges to allow more air to escape from under the hood. and/or some hood vents...

I hate to advertise another site on here, but you should check www.naxja.org. Lots of info over there on cooling as well as stroker builds. It could be so many things. I mean an xj/mj runs at 210 under perfect conditions.

This is just a wheeler right?

Run water only in the system but remember to put in some coolant before winter. Use water wetter or I like tow cool from napa.

Run No thermostat.

Your running 2 fans. Are they pullers or pushers or 1 of each? Are they both on when your running hot?

Is your truck an automatic? If so run a seperate trans cooler maybe with fan of it's own and get the trans fluid out of the rad. Maybe an external oil cooler and maybe a fan as well.

Just some thoughts.

What donor vehicle did the engine come out of? Have you thought about maybe getting a radiator out of that same vehicle & making it fit somehow?
