I have unofficial word that HDF may cease to exist... or at least become a quarterly event.

I know Stan was lamenting the fact that attendance has been down significantly since the beginning. I don't know if making it quarterly will change anything.

I really enjoy going ,it helped me put faces to names. I thought it was a lot of fun and I liked meeting new people there. I put hope that he does continue to have them even if it is quarterly.

its basicly a gathering of people in someones shop, they grill hot dogs on the grill usually and have other snacks, usually a fair amount of beer being drank "BYOB" . it used to be held every first friday of the month but as since stop for whatever reasons, used to be know for some pretty good burnouts as well, i think that about sums it up for the most part

Anyone know where it is being held at tomorrow? I have something in the early afternoon but may be able to swing by after.

Hopefully I'll be there. I have it off but may have to work due to me missing work today. Jaimie's in the hospital...had to have her appendix taken out.

i hear the HDF this week is supposed to be a big deal. sounds like they are going to "debuting" the new rigs, and maybe sponsors will be there as well. may be a good one to go to. not sure if we will make it or not since were goin to the badlands. heard that MAYBE the guys will bringing their rigs over with us. have to wait n see.

mac, topper, do you guys know anything about it?

Yeah, free food, but bring your own beer. Nine, 10, whatever, just come out and have fun.

I've been helping Stan every night since the last HDF. All 3 buggies will be there, and I'm sure there will be tire smoke, maybe like the original burnouts.

made it to my first HDF with Nick. Had a great time. Saw go-karts flip, motorcycles get laid down while leaving and attempted buggy burnouts in the shop! Didnt seem to be that big of an attendance but was a great time none the less. And what night would have been complete without cops showing up! lol

if i knew id tell ya, but nick was the only one i knew out there. I had seen some of the branik guys before and know their names, but i dont know who it was with the bike.

And no firefighters lol, wasnt much smoke that night other than the bike doing a burnout. One of the branik boys flipped a gokart over on top of himself while they where zipping around the parking lot however

Correct, headed to Jellico, TN in the morning for racing on Saturday and Sunday. There is no live update this weekend that I know of so I will be updating facebook periodically over the weekend from my cell to keep folks informed the best I can on what is going on.

XRRA Race #3
Dino 5th
Rosco 7th
Stan 11th

XRRA Race #4
Rosco 4th
Dino 5th
Stan 6th

With HD Friday being the weekend of the 4th next month, there will likely not be one in July either.

the hot time is btw 8 and 10 probably, but sometimes people stay til midnight or later, depends on the crowd and it is kid friendly.

1020 Runnion Ave Fort Wayne, IN

Go hang out at the shop, drink some byob, make contacts, network, check out the buggies, see the cool machines in the shop, see what they can build.

I think one or two Jeepininin folks have vehicles there with projects going on...or have them planned...

And Stan cooks Hotdogs on the grill...

If you read the entire thread it would give you an idea. If you read the thread there are a couple of times this question comes up and it answered to give you a better idea.

Basically people gather to put faces with names and have adult beverages, kids are usually good too. Its not just a jeepininin, its many people from around town, some in the 4xbusiness some not.

It happens at 1020 Runnion here in Fort Wayne.
Here is the email I just got on it.

HEY ALL YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ITS TIME AGAIN FOR A HDF!!!!!!!!!
7:30 or so till ?? Ready to Race HDF!!!!!!!!!
next day----Sat. 6/5/10 TREC RACE at the Badlands!!!!!!!!
BEEN TOO LONG!!!!!
same as always byobeverages, got BALL PARK FRANKS WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!!!!!!!

mac 'working' gyvr

Well i had fun. meeting new people. im not the most social as ya'all saw i just kinda stand there till someone wonders over and talks. i dont bit lol. but i had fun. everyone was so nice to me seeing as i was a nub. and thanks for all the advice to jeep up my jeep. hope to put some of that stuff into action. just felt kinda out of place seeing as im not a gear head. and that was what most of the talk was. well cant wait for the next meet. i will be along.
