You aren't the first person to tell me that about the carter. What carb do you suggust? For future reference..

Depends on what your building for. Mall cruiser/mild trails I would go Weber. More off camber I would go injection. I am mod swap on a 4.3 tb injection in mine.

I'm a fan of the Motorcraft 2100/2150. Runs great, easy install, about $300. I'll definitely do it again.

I have heard good things about the 2100 also but never ran one.

I will probably just mess with my carter for the time being. Have way more other stuff to fix right now than the carb. :lol:

the motorcraft 2100 is a nice carb. on my bronco i put an electric fuel pump on it with a regulator and that really made it run nice.

mac 'built a custom plate to block off the manual pump' gyvr

Sweet, thanks for the tips guys!

Just ordered my new clutch for the CJ! Along with a new throwout bearing and pilot bearing. I also got a new upper and lower radiator hose too. I wanted to get more but the wife was kinda whiney about the price of the clutch alone lol Ugh the joys of marriage and trying to put a CJ back together!

Its cool though, with just those items I should be pretty busy, I still have all my tune items to install, along with all new gaskets. I really wanted to get a new radiator too but they are so pricey on the internet. My YJ at one time needed a new radiator and I remember it being around 150 bucks, not pushing 300 some bucks they are wanting on the net. So I'm gonna try a local radiator shop we have here in town that I got my YJ's from. So with that, lets get a non knocking 258 installed in the 5!
