Wow been a while since i was on this Forum seems like it died off alot. Such a great place few years ago i was on here. Since i was last on here i sold my YJ, bought a TJ sold it, and now on my current Tj a 97 2.5L. Just had some work done on it and drives like a dream. Was having issues with power, i know 4 ban gger but it scoots now. Apparently when the breaks warmed up they locked down and i was fighting the breaks to keep back up to speed sometimes 4000 RPMs it was bad i didnt know that was the issue i couldn't smell it due to the exhaust leaking into the cab lol. But all is well now, all is fixed. did what i could on my own and let the shop to the heavy lifting. Not sure if this thread will get a response. Maybe a meetup this year? If i get responses ill post pics of my Jeep later on.

New:
brake Pads
Rotors
Calipers
battery cables
exhaust hole fixed
oil change
brake lines
rear shocks

Do do list:
winch(same one i bought 6 years ago for my YJ that is still in the box)
another light bar
driver fender
CB
maybe a lift kit

This place is not dead. Many of the users have left, but the core is still here and very much attentive and alive.

Sounds like you fixed a pretty big issue, and have pretty big plans for the new TJ.

That pretty much the Jeeper way, isn't it? lol

im guilty of being gone since 2011. I did do one meet up for hot dogs, sadly i never made it to any offroad meets. Maybe one day. Just judging by the last posts on here some sections last post was 3 or 4 years ago lol. Im glad its not gone and some are still around. Ill try and post more. ya big plans all in due time. As far as the work i had done was worth it. my JP TJ is running like it just rolled off the showroom floor, i couldnt be happier.

I've seen your Jeep (or one like it) in Fort Wayne. I've also seen a YJ driving around with the Jurassic Park theme. Pretty cool.

I'm still here, Jeepless at the moment, but I've been getting that feeling that something is missing.

Few more things to add to my to-do list.

Replace rusted driver floor pan
Rhino line it inside of the tub
Change door seals on half doors my love handles are freezing
replace hood latch

need to find a person who welds to help me with my floor pan.
They say jeeps are a constant project but i enjoy it. Anybody know if Subaru gets on anymore? many years ago he helped me with tow hooks and light bark on my YJ. Feel bad i lost touch with him.

Looks like im running JP18 back into the shop. one of the issues i had worked on while it was in there was a hole in the exhaust that caused fumes, and heat from the engine to pump into the side window defrosters. It was fixed no issues. On 2-17-17 i turned off the heater since it was so nice and unzipped the driver window. I noticed the smell again, and felt the vent and it was warm again. It wasnt as hot as before, if you left your hand on the vent for more than 30 seconds it would burn you. Not sure if the Heater is stuck on or if the hole reopened, i was told it was in a spot you cant see, but i couldn't feel it. Luckily the shop i use in fort wayne backs there work so im going to be in Fort Wayne Wednesday putting around. Took the top off today still the heat no smell this time thou. if anybody wants to meet up for lunch on 2-22-17 im game.

I milk male dogs! for the Avatar. Titan AD, if I remember correctly?

I don't have anything to say about your problem though. All I can offer to this post is that every Wrangler I have owned has has the usual 'little chunk of hell' under the dash and heated very strong and effectively.

As a side note, I cut and blocked off my outside dash vents to make room for the front cage, so my heat melts my right arm through the center vent, or my right leg through the floor vent. But I stay warm.

I know someone *cough* alpine *cough* who has experience putting a small marine heater under a YJ dash. :) But don't EVER work with fiberglass without gloves!!

(inside jokes abound)

Ugh.. I forgot that there's a script which turns "plus one" into "I milk male dogs!".

So I "plus uno" for the Avatar.

Took JP18 in and the hole didnt open up and they arnt sure where the heat is coming from. I notice i only smell the exuast when the driver window is unzipped, not with it closed, or the top down. On a side note im sure im not the first but i did leave my gas cap on the tail light and drove home from Fort Wayne(hour drive) without it, not sure how much gas i lost. Time for a new cap added to my To-do-list.
