 Post subject: installing a home made snorkle and have a question

i was thinking of that but it hasnt com to mind on exactly how to do it. :?

i got it fixed...i drilled 2 hole holes in the rubber intake hose and ran them in there with a very tight fit and i silicote the shit out of them to make them even more water tight. i put them there cause they were attached to the stock airbox. needless to say i got it done and it works.

i did it like that because i like to hit water hard and it will keep alot more dust out of the filter while riding, also i just felt like messing around with it.

be sure that you seal up your distributer cap, and fill every electrical connection with dielectric grease....

just remember just cuz you have a snorkel you can still get water in through the exhaust so dont stop lol but looks interesting hope it works good for ya :tu2:

you can hear the engine really really good when you put the throttle to the floor and also i have noticed any power loss but its also stuck in 4 lo so i guess thats why i dont notice a power loss

thats cool i guess lol im makin one out of the airbox from my gmc jimmy since it has a cold air and the box seals up much better than the one in my xj and then im gonna get some shop vac hose and run it up the side of the ole heep
