CV ball and socket in front drive shaft? I had to have mine rebuilt on the TJ for the same types of noises.

I just had all 3 Ujoints and the CV ball and socket replaced at Fort Wayne clutch yesterday, was really hoping that would cure it.

does it do it when going in straight line or turning under acceleration if it is duringing turning and you have a full time case id gues viscous coupler if it is while going straight id guess transfercase chain i just experienced both problems within few days of each other
